I decided to walk the trail on this day. My body was a bit tired, and I didn’t want my right leg to be over worked. Mom got dad’s trike supplies in the car early, and dad and mom put the trike up on the car around 10 am.
The ride there was uneventful, we got the typical parking spot next to the trail entrance at Falmouth access.
I started recording and walking. I saw a few things I never noticed before, a powerline, a few signs. I saw many insects and bugs that I don’t normally see when moving faster.
After passing the camera to dad, I put my earbuds in and listened to some music while walking.
I saw about 4 dogs and maybe 10 people or so. The walk was easy, I sweat quite a bit with the sun. It was 82 degrees Fahrenheit , but they sky was clear and the sun was directly on the trail.
I walked 20 minutes from the access then 20 minutes back. When I got in the car I cranked up the AC and took off my shirt and drank a Powerade and protein shake.
Dad showed up about 15 minutes later and we got the trike into the car.
We went and searched for a piece that we dropped at the Riverfront Access
We saw the piece last time we were out last week but I said it was trash and dad left it. Unfortunately, dad figured out it was one the pieces to the camera holder. We couldn’t find it so we just went to McCleary’s for lunch.
I had a BOWL of Maryland crab soup and it was delicious. We had “crispy” garlic parmesian chicken wings, with a shrimp basket that we shared. We had Sylvie as our server.
I had a good day and I didn’t feel overly tired from the walk. It is a good alternative to blasting my quads with a ride if I am feeling tired or my legs hurt. I would consider doing it again in the future if that is how I feel.
Keep on Triking!
