2/17/2026 Triking NWRT

2/17/2026

Today, we had a nice ride up to the Northwest River Trail at Riverfront Park. It looked like it was going to rain, but it did not. We saw the weather map and it said it wasn’t going to rain. The temperature was about 70 degrees in the morning when we arrived and the unloading was easy. We got our typical handicap spot. We started the journey to Koser park after getting the trikes set up (refer to last post for a detailed post on how we unpack)

I saw a cardinal, three butterflies, a lot of bugs, and a bumblebee. The trees, bushes and grass are turning very green now. I did not see an Eagle.

It was very windy on the way towards the cliffs. We could hear screeching from the factory in the middle of the trail. I saw a couple airplanes go overhead. We stopped at the Shocks Mills bridge and sat at the bench after filming the bridge.

Around Koser park, people started to appear on the trail. There is a pretty big hole on the right side heading into Koser park. I was mostly using turbo mode to go up hills this ride. We saw a tandem bike. My fastest speed going downhill was 19 mph. We went to the White Cliffs of Conoy and watched the water. When we got to Koser park, I ate a galaxy protein bar.

We rode back and dad passed me. I sped up and passed him all the way back on the home stretch.

At McCleary’s I had Maryland crab soup, garlic parm wings, fish tacos and blue cheese with celery.
